About Us

Who are we?
Reaching Needy Homes Ministries Uganda is a Christ-centered, nonprofit organization devoted to bringing hope, transformation, and practical support to some of the most vulnerable individuals and families in Uganda. Founded on the principles of compassion, faith, and service, our ministry is dedicated to reaching the overlooked, the hurting, and the hopeless, restoring dignity and empowering lives through the love of Jesus Christ.
At the heart of all we do is preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that true and lasting change begins with a relationship with God. Every program, outreach, and service we offer is rooted in the desire to see lives transformed through the Word of God. Whether it's in a village, a school, or a home, we are committed to sharing the good news of salvation and leading souls to Christ.

We work in underserved communities to provide food, clothing, clean water, education, healthcare, shelter, and spiritual guidance to those in need. Our efforts focus on widows, orphans, street children, the elderly, and struggling families across Uganda.
One of our key initiatives is Let Your Light Shine Orphanage, located in Bugiri District. This home offers a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment for children who have been orphaned or abandoned. We believe that every child deserves a future filled with hope and purpose, and we are committed to providing education, emotional support, and spiritual growth.

Through partnerships, sponsorships, and outreach programs, we aim to break the cycle of poverty and create lasting, God-honoring impact in our communities. Our mission is not just to meet physical needs, but to bring healing and renewal through the power of the Gospel.
We serve with compassion and walk alongside the communities we support, guided by the love of Christ and committed to building a brighter, faith-filled future for all.
MEET THE TEAM

Jeremy Jernigan
Founder - USAAs a devout Christian, Jeremy Finds inspiration in Proverb 22:9(The generous will themselves be blessed for they share their food with the poor). This verse fuels his unwavering dedication to helping those in need. He always dreamt of sharing the Gospel and providing needy people with opportunities to rise above their circumstances and RNHMU gave him the chance to turn that dream into action.
He considers it as a privilege to be part of the ministry committed to changing lives fro the better. He is the backbone of RNHMU. Without him, many of the charity's accomplishments would not be possible. He has a compassionate heart that ensures that Christ's love and hope remains a beacon fro those it serves.

Tumwebaze Joshua
Founder - UgandaJoshua is passionate about giving underprivileged people and needy homes an opportunity to normal life. He believes that needy people born into poverty, have little control over their wellbeing in life. It's just a small percentage of people in Bugiri District who manage to escape their circumstances and become economically and spiritually successful, the majority don't. It is therefore very unfortunate that in the present world, there are still millions of needy people where probability of success is lowered simply by value of being born into certain circumstances.
Through RNHMU and its generous supporters, Joshua is working towards changing a needy home at time and hoping that one day the world will become a better place for all. Joshua was born and raised in Bugiri District, Uganda.
