Let Your Light Shine Orphanage is one of the core ministries of Reaching Needy Homes Ministries Uganda (RNHMU), established with a Christ-centered mission to transform lives. Inspired by Matthew 3:16, this program exists to reflect God's love and compassion to the most vulnerable among us like orphans and needy children.

Let Your Light Shine Orphanage was founded to respond to the pressing needs of children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to poverty, illness, or other hardships. We believe that every child is created in God’s image and deserves to grow in an environment filled with love, dignity, and opportunity. Our mission is to rescue, restore, and raise these children to become empowered, Christ-centered leaders who shine His light in their communities and beyond.

What We Do

Let Your Light Shine Orphanage provides a holistic care program that meets the physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs of vulnerable children. We offer a safe and loving home where each child is protected and nurtured. Our Christ-centered discipleship program includes daily devotions, Bible studies, and mentorship to help children grow in their faith. We ensure access to quality education by covering school fees, providing scholastic materials and uniforms, and offering academic support. Children receive nutritious daily meals and proper medical care to support their health and development. We also provide clean and safe drinking water to promote hygiene and prevent disease. Through counseling and emotional support, we help children heal from past trauma and build self-confidence. Older children are equipped with practical life skills such as gardening, tailoring, housework, and crafts to prepare them for a self-sustaining future rooted in dignity and hope.

Children are raised in a nurturing and stable environment with caregivers who serve not only as guardians but also as spiritual role models. We prioritize love, trust, and faith in all we do, ensuring that every child knows they are valued and that they matter.
